I’m getting back into this blogging thing after a long hiatus. What better post to start with than my last wedding of 2017, Cassie and Riley’s wedding shot at Pyramid Lake Resort in Jasper National Park. Cassie has been second shooting weddings with me for a couple of years now, and I have second shot for her in North Battleford, SK. Cassie is not only amazing at wedding photography, but with night photography and underwater photography as well. You can check out her amazing work at Cass Kos Photography. I was booked to shoot a couple of weddings with Cassie this past summer, so when she asked me if I was free to do her wedding with her I said “of course!”. We always refer to weddings we are shooting as “our wedding” when we are talking, so I figured it was a second-shooting gig. After she told me it was going to be in Jasper, I was definitely on board! Because Jasper is a long drive from Edmonton and I’d have to stay overnight a couple of nights, I asked if I could room with Cass to save money. Um.
Yeah. Not a great idea for the wedding photographer to ask to room with the bride and groom…..just saying. Everything she had said went right over my head before! Oops. So, it turns out I DIDN’T room with the bride and groom, and what started out as a bit of a wet, chilly, and gloomy day, ended up with some beautiful, dramatic clouds later on. So enjoy a few pictures from the day!
